Commenting
Since this has become an issue again, please read this blog's policy on commenting before leaving remarks. As a reminder, unsigned comments will not be published.
I understand your position, RE. It's not the anonymous nature that bothers me. It's the unsigned nature.
The point of this blog is to have a discussion. Dialogue is a two-way street. If someone leaves unsigned comments, I can't have a dialogue with them.
For example, if Renegade Eye says he supports less government and then a bit later he says he supports bloating the military, I can call him on that contradiction. With unsigned comments, I can't find any kind of consistent narrative on which to base an exchange of views.
I do allow anonymous comments, provided you sign a consistent nickname. I just don't allow unsigned comments.
